VMC explores the power of peer-education by volunteer infant feeding and care counsellors to improve mother and child health and reduce mortality in Mchinji District, rural Malawi. A family and their counsellor describe the process and compare their past experiences to the transformations it has brought about in their community. MaiMwana Project is a collaboration between the Malawi Ministry of Health and the UCL Institute for Global Health and was established in Malawi in 2003. The film was funded by the UCL Institute for Global Health.
