Comverge, a global company in the residential and commercial/industrial demand response business needed to launch an interface for big commercial and industrial operations to communicate with the PJM Interconnection (a regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity).
Quick Left provided staff augmentation to the Comverge development team and expertise in Ruby on Rails and Backbone.js to build out an interface to allow large commercial and industrial factories to get paid for curtailing their energy use. The build out needed 3 major parts: a 2-way communication with a third-party API, an interactive UI, and an estimation of revenue, all while working with another third-party development firm and providing enhancements to legacy code. Quick Left delivered on time and under budget.
