The Poles of the Earth are the focal points of climate change. They affect our lives profoundly, through complex, dynamic, and above all, little understood mechanisms. The melting of Greenland’s glacial mass has the potential to affect ocean currents in the North Atlantic. Even very slight changes can bring devastating consequences to the Earth’s climate. Kayaking in Greenland allowed us to get up close to the heart of climate change.
