This work explores the root growth between weed species (lantana) and native endangered species (melaleuca irbyana). I captured the images from micropropagation trials (growing plants in test tubes), I conducted during my "Plant Room" project - where I was examining plants as living powerhouses with reference to species loss.
The endangered plants which form part of "The Plant Room" project are: Notelaea ipsviciensis, Planchonella eerwah, Gossia gonoclada, Plectranthus habrophyllus and Melaleuca irbyana (shown in this animation).
The Plant Room project was proudly supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). The Regional Arts Development Fund is a Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and Ipswich City Council partnership to support local arts and culture.
