In 2005 I spent two months travelling and filming with Kris Coppieters (Belgium) and Aude Piercy (France) for our Airborne Expedition project. Armed with four Ozone DHV 1-2 wings (Rush, Buzz, Geo and tandem McDaddy), our aim was to travel the globe for twelve months in search of indigenous tribes; to live with them and learn of their cultures and where possible - terrain and weather permitting - get some of them airborne above their native lands via tandem flights with Kris. This short film I edited at the end of 2005 is a sample of the project's results, highlighting our time in Papua New Guinea, in the highlands around Goroka and Kundiawa and on Kar Kar Island north of Madang.
The project was generously supported by Ozone, Sup'Air, Lazer, Icebreaker, BoulevArt, Passage Fitness First and Mountain Designs. This short film is also hosted at Ozone's video downloads page: flyozone.com/paragliders/en/downloads/videos/
Filmed with a Canon GL2. Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5
