A video I made for my class called Time, Motion and Communication. The project was to choose a song, then make a 1-2 minute video showcasing the rhythm and feeling of the song. I chose A Brief Interlude by Andrew Bayer.
This was one of my favorite projects from this class because I spent a lot of time thinking about what would best capture both the mood of my song as well as its subtle rhythm. I struggled with how to bring my ideas to reality because I was still a beginner in AfterEffects. I became inspired to use real footage that had been manipulated so it would still work within the constraints. This project really forced me to think differently about how the treatment of elements and footage in a movie can communicate mood and rhythm.
