The Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC) challenges the systemic problem of pushout in our nation's schools and advocates for the human right of every young person to a quality education and to be treated with dignity by uniting parents, youth, advocates and educators to support alternatives to a culture of zero-tolerance, punishment and removal in our schools.
The Dignity in Schools Campaign Bay Area Chapter was established in 2013 to create a regional coalition of social justice, policy-change, and advocacy organizations working on issues related to school pushout that affect Bay Area communities.
Every year, DSC hosts a National Week of Action to raise awareness about the affects of school pushout on schools and communities across the United States and the work being done to end it. This is Part 1 of a four part video series by the DSC Bay Area Chapter Partners.
