The postwar Sheffield steel industry reached out globally for more manpower, and thousands of young men migrated from rural farms in The Yemen. They negotiated a tough existence, and today still live in limbo between two worlds: their families back in The Yemen, and their isolated lives as Yorkshire Arabs. This film tells the story of the unsung heroes of the Steel City.
Shown as part of the Yemen Peace Project's International Yemeni Film and Arts Festival in New York and LA, Washington DC, Aden and Sana'a, and at the Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival 2015.
Longer version for Health & Social care services in Sheffield.
