I started out just filming my friends eating, with no purpose other than to test low lighting and what not.... We were randomly inspired to create a film 100% improve. So after filming them i took all of the footage with little intention of creating a "short film" and i got carried away with editing it and was somewhat proud of this random movie....
Except the first shot of the knife on the hardwood floor: 1080x720 60fps...
First shot: 24p 1920x1080...
Lens - 50mm Contax Zeiss T* with Eos adapter from FOTODIOX
Filmed all at 6400iso unfortunately its not as clear at 6400.
The camera isn't the best with low light... I even had my contax open at 1.7 aperature. WIDE OPEN. But im not concerned about that because im more interested in making actual narative films (with pre production) where i will be using lighting and what not so it really is no big deal.
The 60fps mode way makes up for it hahah... its so versatile and smooth. I actually prefer it over 24p because 24p isnt as smooth (on any video camera 24p doesn't look good) and 1920x1080 is not much better than 1080x720 considering I'm interested in vimeo and most televisions can only handle HD and not FULL HD!
I worked for over 300 hours to get my canon 7D it was worth it... And just about everyone i know has been writing scripts for me and requesting roles in my films. Its like the good old days. All you needed was a camera, film, and processing... Then everything else was attracted to your equipment.
Time to get the show on the road. Love sucks. But this film is concerning love between friends and how we can so easily betray family.... the ones who aren't our romantic partners.
