Mayor of London Boris Johnson opens up in an informal interview with Denis Noble, University of Oxford. He speaks of how in politics and life, issues aren't always as simple as they are sometimes portrayed, and that in reality there are often a multitude of ways to reach a common aim. He also admits that behind his public persona there is a much harder and tougher politician than many people realise. London's need for a new airport is also mentioned, if it is to continue to compete with rival economies and follow in the footsteps of major cities such as Seoul, Hong Kong and Frankfurt. This interview was conducted after a dinner to celebrate Balliol College’s 750th Anniversary at which Boris Johnson also gave a speech.
