Over the past 6 weeks we have been working on a Typographic version of a Haiku. Using different typographic techniques, both analogue and digital to represent the Haiku (not illustrative or connected to the words actual meaning).

We chose one font for the full process, Univers.

What is a Haiku you ask? A Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five.

We produced a selection of 20 panels, each showing a different technique before moving on to create a final piece which would be screenprinted.

The one we finally settled on, is shown in the video.

Also, a HUGE thanks to The Boy Who Trapped The Sun for letting us use his song, 'Leaving'.
