Summary:
Deprescribing refers to the reduction or discontinuation of medications that no longer confer more benefits than risks, or are inconsistent with goals of care. Deprescribing is a process that requires healthcare providers and the patient to have shared goals.
This presentation discusses multiple medication use, also called polypharmacy and the process of deprescribing.
