Lake Weyba wetland area, southeast Queensland, Australia
This area fascinates me as it's so easily overlooked by visitors to the Noosa area; possibly not a bad thing.
Lake Weyba is a fragile ecosystem and plays a key ecological role within Southeast Queensland. The lake is a vital fish breeding ground for many species and acts as the lungs for the Noosa river. Expanses of mangrove forests are found along its shores.
