Spat united 50 young homeless people from across London with five incredible Team GB athletes, at the SPAT Legacy Demo in partnership with Britain's Personal Best. The event was held at Lee Valley athletics centre, made only possible by somewhereto_, a service that helps young people access space. Launching Britain's Personal Best's Big Weekend, we achieved our 'personal best' - inspiring more homeless youths to take part in sport.
London 2012 Olympians Conrad Williams, Margaret Adeoye, Nigel Levine, high-jumper Martyn Bernard and decathlete Ashley Bryant joined our SPAT mentors to host training sessions in various athletic disciplines.
Spat also gifted every young participant with brand-new running shoes, shorts and running top; hoping to inspire further training and engagement in sport-for-development programmes.
