For children and older learners with severe multiple disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, DeafBlindness, Developmental Delay, CVI, etc. the Active Learning approach originated by Dr. Lilli Nielsen can be of great value. LilliWorks Active Learning Foundation was established for outreach, to educate, research and to provide the specially designed equipment Dr. Nielsen created to support and feedback to challenged children. Active Learning is easy to practice at home with everyday items, and thousands of children, parents, teachers and therapists around the world have benefited from using this learner-based approach. The philosophy of Active Learning and LilliWorks is "Everyone can Learn".
Active Learning toys are things that are auditory and tactile. Active Learning equipment create environments that feedback richly with vibration and sound while supporting the learner.
