Carol Gluck, professor of History at Columbia University, asks our distinguished guests whether there is anything more real than imagination? With Walter Mosley, who does a great deal of historical research for his Easy Rawlin’s crime novels, Deborah Eisenberg, whose short stories often read like they have come from life, Ma Jian who has written memoir as well as many novels and Lila Azam Zanganeh whose book, The Enchanter, is a combination of fact and fiction.
