Over the years more and more people are making running part of their daily routines or a life-long mission. On the surface, the reasons people run seem obvious; vanity, health, stress, competition to name a few.
But what of there is a deeper, more intrinsic compulsion that connects people who choose to run for enjoyment regardless of ethic, socioeconomic, religious, geographical backgrounds or their physical differences?

Runners share an uncommon bond in today’s society, whether it’s through participation in the events or a simple ‘hey’ on an isolated nature trail. With breathtaking landscapes, high-profiles races and quirky tribal-like parades as the backdrop, we join hardcore and casual runners alike on their individual journeys to health and wellness, weight loss, competition, stress release and companionship, with one goal in mind; to find out what moves them.

We are going to leave no stone unturned in our quest to find out why runners are at the happiest when they are hurting the most. This journey will be a marathon and not a sprint, and we intend to ask the experts, quiz the academics and test the elites until we have the answer if, in fact, one exists. But we can’t embark on this quest without you, the runners, sharing your stories.

Please tell us below whatever it is that gets you out of bed at 5am on an icy January morning to hit the pavement or the trail. Whether you’re running from heartbreak or searching for love. Fighting your demons or for a cause, we want to know about it. You never know, we might just pick you to be a part of this exciting project.
