A tribute to the beautiful life of Kalila Borden, by Paul Huberty (firstname.lastname@example.org) & Angela Scott. This 13-minute slideshow was presented at her amazing memorial at Colorado Christian University on Oct 24, 2009, and this updated version was presented at her memorial in Minnesota on Oct 31, 2009. In her short 24 years of life, Kalila touched more people, impacted more of the world, and became more Christ-like than most do in 100 years of life. The last words she spoke to me were "I know that I know", referring to a conversation we had weeks before about whether or not she "knows that she knows" she is ready to meet Jesus. We were so blessed and privileged to be with her and her parents at her bedside the moment she was carried to Heaven. As we stood around her bed softly worshipping, she briefly opened her eyes and looked towards Heaven as a sweet peace came over her face, and all who were in the room that moment literally felt the presence of Jesus as He stepped into the room and made it a most sacred place. In that moment, she was cradled in her loving mother's arms ... and in the next moment, she was cradled in the arms of her loving Savior. It was truly a "birth" into real life, and was the most beautiful passing I had ever experienced. It makes me long to see what she saw with her eyes at that moment. Thank you, Brian & Jaci, for your great act of love in taking this precious girl into your hearts and home, and giving her so great a life ... WELL DONE!!! And THANK YOU, Kalila, for a full life so very well lived, and for your contagious love, joy, courage, and faith which have touched so many. This world is forever changed because of your precious life. Oh how we ache missing you.
