The film REFLECTION is the natural counterpart of INNER STEPS. Where INNER STEPS stops in the dark depth of the stepwell, REFLECTION starts. We hear water, and see at the right a deformed watery image of a variable circularity. The camera looks from within the pot the stepwell. At the left slowly a woman becomes visible climbing the steps with a pot on her head. The camerapositons are different and slightly off time wise. The truth is that Dada Harir is a dry well, only after heavy monsoon rains ther can be water, but the city has grown fast, the groundwater table has droppped at least 6o meters below the 20+ meter deep stepwell.
The research on these stepwells has been conducted in collaboration with ourpeopletree architects.
