Client: Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ
Background: The university is planning a major expansion of their engineering campus and reached out to us to capture the groundbreaking ceremony and asked us if we could create a color piece that contained highlights from the day's events.
It was a pretty straightforward two-camera shoot: the main camera was stationed on a press riser at the back of the event and remained on a tripod for the entire program; the second camera was on a mobile shoulder mount, and was used to grab crowd color before the event and then was used to capture alternate angles of the speakers at the podium. The second camera was also in a much better position to record the actual ceremonial groundbreaking.
We turned this one around pretty fast, even for us: it was shot, edited and live within 24 hours of the event. We received some positive feedback on this one from folks who saw it the next day, which is always nice.
Special thanks to Geoff Nichols for running the A-Camera for this event.
