OLEA is an Australian Olive Leaf Extract brand developed by natural health company Comvita. While the product was being promoted via its own website (olea.com.au), users weren’t able to actually buy the product here – instead being redirected back to Comvita’s main site (comvita.com.au). This made for a disjointed user experience, and was clearly preventing some people from going ahead with a purchase.
We were asked to redesign the OLEA UX to be more engaging – and increase sales as a result.
We designed and developed an e-commerce site for OLEA that was smart, simple and easy to use. Having secured the number one Google ranking for ‘Olive Leaf Extract Australia’, OLEA was already drawing people to their site through keyword search. By allowing people to buy products directly from the site, we were able to put this traffic to better use right away.
The new OLEA site was responsive to the user’s chosen platform, so it worked equally well from desktop, tablet and mobile. There was more to our new design than simply adding an e-commerce function too. After reviewing and refining the site’s existing product info, we put in place a content strategy that presented this info in a much more captivating and logical way.
The end result was easier to use, maintained strong a SEO ranking and most importantly, drove sales.
Since launching, the new OLEA site has had unique monthly visitors in the tens of thousands and a monthly revenue of over $40,000.
