More space news and info at: coconutsciencelab.com - on December 14 - 16, 2012, the Geminid meteor shower came to the ESO's observatory at Paranal, Chile. This shower seems to emanate from the constellation Gemini, the twins. It occurs once a year when the Earth's orbit intersects the orbit of asteroid 3200 Phaethon. You can see the meteors as quick streaks in this time-lapse. Please rate and comment, thanks!
