Odeon supporters came out on Saturday 14th November to decorate the building with Christmas gear, listen to some awesome music and show their dedication to saving the building through personal messages and Christmas cards.
Music: Raveonettes / Rooney
The Odeon is the UK’s last remaining 1930s art deco super-cinema, in Bradford, UNESCO’s City of Film.
Please visit saveourodeon.com to find out more about the building, it's proposed demolition and why the people of Bradford want so desperately to keep hold of a wonderful part of our city's heritage and how they will fight to do so.
[Personally, I'm all for saving the Odeon. It's about time that the people in charge recognize the beauty of what we already have in our city instead of bulldozing & replacing our heritage with steel and chrome monstrosities - or more accurately giant craters. The Odeon's domes represent a very specific stamp of identity that is impossible to replicate for Bradford, the city of film.]
