In spite of the fact that the title could cross-refer
to Elio Petri’s movie
“The working class goes to paradise”,
the video is not about social matters.
Although, the anguish produced by Torino’s
underground shows us, through a claustrophobic and
dead-end journey, the impossible escape and
the unsolvable anxiety given by a reality, ours,
condemned to a self-punished decadence.
The video is a POV shot and narrates
an underground ride.
Torino underground trains have a peculiarity,
that of not having a driver, so the passenger has
a free view and can face such underground journey
in first person, which recalls the well-known
atmospheres of the 1970s’ science fiction movies.
