What started life as an idea myself and good friend and acclaimed artist Dr Mitra Memarzia had over a couple of drinks soon turned into one of the most talked about installations at Digital Shoreditch, The Lost Lectures and Social Media Week London.
We asked ourselves: Could our collective thoughts captured in digital data create tangible objects? What if our personal data could be translated to bespoke fragrances that lifted our moods? Is this possible? We thought so, so we created Scentiment: The world's first Twitter powered nasal sense caressing emotion analyser. (it converts Tweets into fragrances, basically.)
With a sophisticated sentiment analysis engine, some slick front-end fizzle and pop, some masterfully crafted fragrances and a kitsch 1930's dressing table.. We created a beautiful mix of old, new, and downright cool that stimulated people's senses with emotion based aromas.
