“Hallal comes from the Hebrew word ‘halal’, which means to shine, flash forth light, praise, boast and glory. It is a word that defines praise to God with full abandon and great excitement - the heart of Hallal Worship.”
Well, did you miss the Saturday night service with Hallal? I suspect, like me, you had no idea of what to expect, and the term ‘hallal’ was new to me, but I was very glad I was there to experience the special leadership in worship and praise this group brought to us. While a fairly small crowd, I felt like those who came and worshipped felt a special spiritual connection and closeness to our Lord…
“Hallal” are based in Midland, Texas and lead by Ken Young. You can find out more about them at their website: hallalworship.com/about. Our thanks to this dedicated group of musicians and singers for accepting our invitation to spend an entire weekend away from home—with us! The story about their mission and experiences was inspiring and I’m sorry I could not capture the whole thing… I made a video that I hope you will enjoy seeing and hearing, but my apologies for the quality of the video—I’m still learning! The service was about 90 minutes and included more than just the music, but I captured only about 40 minutes of the entire program. Enjoy…be blessed!
