Spring / Summer 2014
Jacob Birge Vision SS 2014 collection is inspired by a Scandinavian Architecture - combination of natural colours and the different qualities and surfaceces within one design is reflected within the collection. Within our research we tried to find various techniques of combining soft materials with more solid surfaces – we believe that a good design is a balance between them.
Brown, beige and grey displayed on the white background are the major colours of the collection. There are strong references to 50’s fashion in terms of silhouette and feel.
As an ULTRAMODERN brand we always try to break the barriers within fashion, but also within a way of presenting fashion. This time Jacob Birge Vision Spring / Summer 2014 Collection will be presented as a Fashion Installation combining core elements of the brand - fashion, film and music.
We started at 1 PM at the Rag Factory with SS 14 Exhibition – garments were presented on the suspended mannequins designed especially for that event. Around the exhibition room audience had a chance to see SS14 Campaign Photos and a SS14 catwalk screening.
At 7 PM there was a main part of the evening – SS2014 Fashion Film Premiere – featuring Top model and the Head of Edinburgh International Fashion Festival – Anna Freemantle and her family in a luxury Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
The event ended up with a short live music set by Jacob Birge with the compilation of the tracks from the upcoming album called The Fountainhead release under the Acre Recordings in the end of October 2013.
