Emily and her family had been enjoying Turnberry's hospitality since she was a little girl thus making it the perfect venue to celebrate her wedding.
Perfect, not only a location close to her heart but anyone lucky enough to lay eye on this glowing landscape could fall in love with the stunning Ayrshire Coast scenery made even more beautiful on today in the glorious sun which on this occasion allowed the ceremony to take place outside.
As Derek stood at the end of the aisle waiting he began to sweat, maybe it was the heat of the sun or maybe it was Emily who had arrived ever so slightly later than expected. As she arrived however Derek couldn't have been happier seeing his beautiful wife to be walk towards him with her father on her arm... and with in the blink of an eye they where married! YAY!
Music entertained the guests as they enjoyed accompaniments of bubbly and canapés while spilling out onto the sunshine soaked terrace. As the couple made their entrance to dinner they were lead by the sound of a pipe band. What an entrance! Emily's proud father gave the first speech which lead into details of her childhood and why Turnberry was the perfect venue, followed by Derek who told tales about how the couple got together with final words spoken by the two best men. Don't worry though they didn't embarrass the groom too much.
Before the dancing Emily and Derek snuck off to the golf course taking this opportunely to snap some photos and have a little fun, climbing fences, playing off the tee with a putter, you know the normal things to do in a wedding dress lol.
We're not going to mention some of the amazing dancing we witnessed that night but as the band had their break Emily's brother Toby and his partner took to the stage to play a little set which included a few covers and original songs, one of which accompanies this trailer. It was written by his band 'Sons of Revelry' and we thank him for letting us use it!
We had a lovely day in the sun celebrating your wedding Emily & Derek and wish you all the best for your future together!
