Jef Johnson's AZAR (PART 2 of 3)
Recorded live, October 5, 2013, at Main Street Theater, Chelsea Market, Houston, Texas.
AZAR is a Spanish word which in English means "RANDOM."
AZAR was created and first performed for the Festival Internacional de Teatro de Manizales, Colombia, in 2011, and subsequently revived in La Casona del Teatro in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. Each performance is completely unique. All action, sound and lights are unrehearsed, improvised in the moment.
Perception, expectation, discovery, all drive the simple naive consciousness in its foolish attempt to gain mastery over immediate experience.
Light and Sound improvised live by John Paul Morales
Costume, Environment, Play by Jef Johnson
