A short timelapse of the July 4th fireworks at Coconut Island in Hilo Bay on the Big Island.
For those that want to know the details, the fireworks footage was shot at these settings: 4 sec at f / 4.0, ISO 800, Tokina 11-17mm lens set to 11mm on a Canon 40D. The interval was set to 5 seconds. The fireworks lasted 15 minutes, in this video it lasts less than 1 minute The playback speed of the fireworks clip is around 3 frames per second, anything faster was too much and it may still be too fast for some folks. I tried to find a happy medium between too fast and way too long and boring on the other end. The final still is a panorama of Hilo Bay taken from the bridge to Coconut Island. The main part Hilo Town is across the bay.
