To create community musical celebrations that inspires and fully utilizes social and cultural capacities, the Music Unites has establish the Music Unites Academy Program at Centennial High School.
The program vision is created and lead by World-acclaimed and Award- winning, Maestro Dino Zonic, and is to connect and elevate the spirit of the community through a blend of educational and professional endeavors, performing world music in a series of live special events.
Maestro Zonic’s methods is to Inspire, Involve, Contribute, And Unite creating the atmosphere where crossing the boundaries of conventional teaching of musical education beyond the typical classroom, and exposing students to broader audiences and encouraging their ambitions and dreams.
Music Unites and Maestro Zonic’s goals are for all Compton students to be as part of staging a series of Music Unites Community Spectaculars in Compton, performing and interacting with professional musicians. These special events are to delight the senses through a collaborative production of education, art, and entertainment, creating a citywide concept, an imprint of the spirit of the Compton community.
It’s more than a conventional concert – it is an uplifting experience.
Music Unites hosts a series of live performances designed to introduce new audiences to a variety of musical styles and genres and help cultivate an appreciation for the diversity that exists in our modern society.
