District 75 is the Special Education District in New York City. This district was created to support and educate children with the most severe challenges. While the range of disabilities challenging our students is wide, most students are within one of four areas: Autism, Emotional Challenges, Severe Disabilities, and Inclusive Education.
What do we look for in students who may have alternate learning needs? How are we structured to help them? How does each disability manifest itself in individual children? What do we need to know to provide the best environment for learning? Perhaps this video will help to show the way.
