On Friday 18th and Saturday 19th October 2013, the Dynamic Demand Challenge Hackathon took place at Imperial College London.
The hackathon brought together the nine semi-finalists of the Dynamic Demand Challenge Prize – a competition that’s looking for ideas to shift electricity demand to off-peak times, or make better use of renewable energy generation.
Over a gruelling but exciting 36-hour stint, the semi-finalists worked intensively to develop prototypes of their ideas, before five finalists were chosen by an expert panel of judges. Watch the video to find out more!
