“The real issue is not how do you find your voice, but how to get rid of it” Philip Glass.
If we accept Glass’s idea, is the collaborative process a way to transcend your own voice as an artist? Join a panel of high profile artists to discuss the pros and cons of artistic collaboration. Is artistic collaboration a compromise and constraint or is it an essential catalyst for new discoveries?
Panelists include choreographers Akram Khan and Siobhan Davies, theatre director and actor Simon McBurney, filmmaker Sally Potter and composer Jocelyn Pook. The discussion will be chaired by Sir John Tusa, until recently Chair of University of the Arts London.
Presented by Central Saint Martins, Dance Umbrella and Akram Khan Company.
