A video from Hector Ruiz showing a large male rat climbing past hermit crabs to enter the A24 automatic resetting trap on Maria Langa Island, Puerto Rico.

"The rats eradication part is an important part of this project which includes garbage removal and ecosystem mapping of the Maria Langa Island with the help of the local community," Hector Ruiz, leading the project, says, "In order to avoid the use of rodenticide we began a web search and found your company options and decided that it was a better solution for our project. The 10 traps will be placed in pre-selected secure areas around the island." The small island is a nesting area of the brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) native to Puerto Rico and also a nesting area of the critically endangered hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata).
