Through a series of free community workshops over two months, we designed, built and performed with 4 giant interactive costume puppets at the Shinju Matsuri Opening Parade in Broome, Western Australia. The ‘Big Country Puppets’ celebrate the biodiversity and life forms of the Dampier Peninsula – they include a Gouldian Finch, a frilled neck lizard, a pelican and a Pandanus tree. We were accompanied by the 'Jila Junk Band' during the parade. For more info go to :
