Building on the skills acquired from our previous short stop motion film, George and the Dragon once again celebrates the art of Stop Motion Animation and its endearing effect on the observer. The ability to create character’s and performance through otherwise static objects, adds to the charm of the medium. Also being able to construct a fictional world and to be able to view it through the camera is absolutely amazing, for the results are there, interactive and tactile without the need to render any frames. George and the Dragon combines modelling clay with latex over ball socket armatures. It is more or less another character study about two very different yet intriguing character’s who soon realise, in the case of George, that appearances can often be misleading.
