Developing applications for Jolla's Sailfish OS

The workshop shows how to get started in developing applications for Jolla's Sailfish OS. The presentation introduces the basic structure of the platform, shows main UI concepts, and presents the main APIs. The presentation shows hands-on how to get started in creating beautiful applications for Jolla devices using Sailfish Silica UI components, Qt5, and Sailfish OS SDK.

About speaker:

Vesa-Matti Hartikainen is an experienced mobile device developer. Latest years he has worked on developing frameworks and applications for Linux based mobile operating systems such as MeeGo, and Sailfish OS. Currently he is an engineer at Jolla, and develops Sailfish OS core applications, and the operating system.
