The choice to go to Bali, Indonesia, was the sort of last minute decision that sounded good on paper and was even better once I arrived. I had nearly five months of South East Asia ahead of me, a plan which would see me scour across Borneo, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, with an understanding that I would be subjecting myself to long gaps without the ocean and it's bedazzling charm...so 10 days chasing waves and drinking cold Bintangs on the beach would be a good way to ease myself into the South East Asian escapade.
I met Spencer Frost in Sydney through a nexus of good friends who had either immigrated from South Africa or who were indeed brutish natives of a land I found to have similar recreational pursuits. Spencer had, and continues to have, a wild and enthusiastic lust for travel, wave riding, and woman, and our paths were set to overlap on the island chain of waves, cheep kicks and thrills, and nasi goreng.
This is my first attempt at motion-picture production.
