Sometimes bad things happen to kids who have great parents. At times, difficult circumstances quite beyond our control, impact our children negatively. Divorce, wrong influences, family tragedies, our children’s foolish choices, relational strain and other common realities tend to compromise the level of influence we have with our children. In these moments as much or more than any other, we need Godly wisdom to walk in peace as well as help our children navigate these difficult situations.
The story of Abraham and Isaac teach us some interesting truths about how much we can trust God to hold our children in His faithful embrace. I hope parents and grandparents today will find practical insight, encouragement, and even hope as we look to God’s word for answers to these difficult seasons of life and
