3 Years ago I made this video to highlight global warning and uploaded it to YouTube. For the six or so months it was live, it became one of the most linked and discussed videos on the site of all time with almost 9,000 comments. I had requests from Senators, Professors, lecturers, teachers, students and school children worldwide for a copy of this video to show others.. a copy was sent out by Al Gore's official "An Inconvenient Truth" facebook group, and it was used as an election campaign piece by the leader of the Green Party in Australia. Then, a false copyright claim on behalf of the "Great Global Warming Swindle" saw it removed.
Thought it was time to upload it again, I think public opinion has changed in those 3 years, most now believe we need to do something. Lets see. Here's the original description.
"After seeing a wasp a couple of weeks ago (yes I know, in the middle of November) I felt the need to make something that points out what’s going on with the bloody weather. Its starts with Tony Blair rapping, ends with a Polar Bear shaving, but the stuff in between is much much more frightening"
Global Warming & Climate Change - A Short Video
and this great blog http://www.globalwarminglife.com
The 10 hottest years on record were all in the last 15 years, and arctic ice drilling shows that Co2 levels in the atmosphere are the highest for 650,000 years, yet some people still think this isn't happening. It is, we all know it is, but yet not many of us are doing anything about it. This is why I've made this.
It features Eric Prydz Vs Floyd "Proper Education", the first part of the song with David Gilmour's vocals represent the older generation (or the US), that are turning a blind eye to the problem.. "we don't need no education" or "its not happening its cyclical". The second part of the song featuring the school children singing (or the world outside beyond the US borders) represents the new generation, that don't need educating, its happening, are they are trying to do something about it, for their kids future.
When posting commments, please refrain from:
1) Posting insults to attempt to get your point across
2) Copy / Pasting your posts over and over again
3) Going on about US Politics, this is a global issue
Then we can discuss this issue like adults.
