Vaccination is one of the most effective forms of medical intervention that saves thousands of lives every year. However, despite global efforts, one in five children each year fails to get fully vaccinated, and is left vulnerable to killer diseases.
MSF recently brought a group of key people together to discuss how to improve global immunization efforts, led by The GAVI Alliance and its donors. Key concerns relate to the cost of new vaccines, and the suitability of vaccines, developed for children in the developed world, for use in the developing world conditions.
