Nincompops - Brigitte Engler, Richard Hell, Walter Robinson @ Bowman & Bloom Gallery NYC
This is an interesting mix of artists whose only apparent thematic relationship is that they have roots in the East Village. It does not remove the individual power each artist can push onto paper.
Robinson is clearly the most known artist because of the strength of his subject - girls and booze.
Engler is known as quietly patternly, and it shows best in the watercolors.
Richard Hell is best known as Richard Hell, rockstar and now a visual artist (probably all along) but his work is timid and undynamic compared to his music.
