Having come from watching a lot of the 24 Hour and motorcycle endurance racing this was a rather fresh take on a kart race. It was fun watching the progression of the teams and the pit stops make and break teams. With the massive success of this years race for a first time event I can only imagine how great it will be in the years to come with growing numbers.
Weather came and went throughout the day but stayed 99% dry and a bit cool till the later stages. Which made it a lot more fun to shoot than the rain soaked second day of 2d2w.
This is the first time I've shot a standalone piece at NTK since my very first time operating a camera ever on April 10, 2010. What a crazy 3 and a half years it has been. For those of you that havent seen it, its rather comical to watch now as I had NO idea what I was doing then haha.
Thanks to Rob Miller and the entire Texas 500 team as this was a very fun race to shoot and the team are a great bunch to work with. See you at LSGP 2014!
