Here's a video test I did with my new GoPro camera. I shot it on the Amtrak’s California Zephyr going to Chicago in late December of 2011. It highlights the various scenes you see from Emeryville, CA all the way to the Amtrak terminal in Chicago, IL. The camera was suction cupped to my window, and the sound was just what you could hear in my room. My intent was to shoot something innocuous so that I could build some confidence with the camera, and find out some of its idiosyncrasies. And, boy did I learn a lot. So, I apologize for the red flashing tally light reflection in the window. It only took me two days to find where it can be shut off. But otherwise the video is fun and I learned a lot.
For you techies, the camera was GoPro-3 with a backpack monitor. The project was edited in Final Cut Pro, and then color corrected with Apple’s Color app. The release was compressed in Compressor.
