As my thoughts run away with me and I start to forget my husbands name and my daughters face I feel anger and frustration build inside me. When I do remember, I am elated that I am not lost in a world of description, metaphors and imagery. I am able to picture the now and link it to the past and fond memories like they are being painted out in front of me. Then like bright fluttering butterflies that beauty and memory fades and I find myself staring at an old vase that I know someone gave me, sometime, for some reason…. 2 Years on and those flickering butterfly memories are my saving grace, even though I still don’t know who that vase is from!
