I ran into this protest mob on the night of October 29 in front of the Parliament building. Not sure who exactly was protesting or if they were affiliated with a particular group or political party, but there is a lot of political unrest in Slovenia. According to tradingeconomics.com the August unemployment rate in Slovenia was 12.9 percent. My understanding it protests like these are not completely uncommon. The protesters were chanting, “Ulice so naše!” which means the streets are ours. It appears that the protesters even blocked a bus (line 19) from continuing on it’s route.
