'VICTORY' is an idea for a series that I made based on George Orwell's '1984'.
I took the main character Winston Smith, and placed him in the contemporary work world. His work place and the symbol of the totalitarian government that he is working for is represented by the Belgacom building located in Ghent, Belgium.
The theme of this video is, seeing the truth through the filter that has been put before your eyes.
In '1984' everyone is required by law to watch the 'telescreens' which project the government's propaganda but in the present, everyone chooses to watch these screens. They surround themselves with them at every waking moment; even in their sleep.
In 'VICTORY' the slogan isn't "Big Brother is Watching You!" but rather You are always watching Big Brother.
A big thanks to my main character Ortwin Lioen who relentlessly was there for me and ready to be on the spot, and for his music suggestion, couldn't have done it without him.
