In our inaugural episode of Shoe Are You?®, I got the chance to talk with the lovely, charming and ever-chic actress Roxane Mesquida. She has been modeling and acting since age 11, and is renowned in her native France especially for her work with the fearless director Catherine Breillat. She now lives in West Hollywood and is known to American audiences for her role in the fifth season of Gossip Girl as Louis Grimaldi's sister, and her turn as a vampiress in Kiss of The Damned. She also the muse of luxury shoe designer, Jerome C. Rousseau (a dear friend and one of the most exceptionally talented shoe designers working in footwear today).
I spoke with Roxane at the unveiling of the short film she starred in for Rousseau's latest collection, directed by the fashion photographer Mary Rozzi at Le Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood and I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
The shoe that Roxane picks up midway through the episode is a hand-beaded collaboration between Jerome C. Rousseau and artist Emily Snyder -- and it is truly even more beyond in person.
Shoe Are You?® is the interview show created and hosted by footwear expert and author, Meghan Cleary. Each episode we talk to interesting celebrities, personalities or shoe designers about their shoes.
