The New Urbanism Film Festival (Los Angeles, Nov 7-10)
Investigates the relationship between how we build our cities and how we grow our food. It is an important piece to urban planning. As city budgets grow tight, we realize it is harder and harder to bankroll sprawl. From police, fire and public utilities it is too expensive to spread out.
The problem is not only economic, but it also questions our heritage. It takes a long time to develop good farming soil. Are housing developments the best use of our land?
Join us at the inaugural New Urbanism Film Festival as we showcase films that will explore these and other issues related to the built environment.
